
On May 16, Harbin Engineering University (HEU) signed a cooperation agreement with the China Aviation Industry Aerodynamics Research Institute (CARIA) to further advance joint scientific innovation, industry-education integration, platform development, and resource sharing. Attendees at the signing ceremony included CARIA President LI Chen, Vice Presidents LI Chenguang, BU Chen, and YANG Bin, as well as HEU’s Party Secretary GAO Yan, Vice President YIN Jingwei, and Assistant President YIN Hang.

GAO Yan highlighted the importance of leveraging both parties’ strengths to jointly establish the Harbin Research Center of Hanjiang Laboratory, develop high-end platforms, undertake national key technological projects, conduct collaborative research, accelerate scientific achievement commercialization, and enhance talent cultivation. He stated that these efforts aim to contribute to the rapid development of new productive forces.

LI Chen expressed hopes for deepening the long-term strategic partnership in scientific research, talent development, academic exchanges, and achievement application. He stressed CARIA’s role as a key player in foundational research, major breakthroughs, and talent training, aiming to inject new momentum into innovation across aviation, marine, and related fields.



During the ceremony, GAO Yan presented appointment letters to CARIA representatives joining the university as adjunct professors.


Prior to the signing, GAO Yan and his delegation toured CARIA’s laboratories to review ongoing projects.
