On June 1, the 8th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (Northeast Division) commenced at the Qihang Academic Lecture Hall. Attendees at the opening ceremony included Assistant President GENG Jing, Secretary of the University Communist Youth League Committee HAO Chen, ZHANG Yu (Executive Committee Member of the China Undergraduate Physics Tournament and Director of the Northeast Division Organizing Committee), WANG Yuxiao (Director of the Northeast Division Refereeing Committee), LIU Zhihai (Dean of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering), and LIU Lijing (Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering). The opening ceremony was hosted by JIANG Haili, Vice Dean of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering.

GENG Jing expressed her hope that students would uphold the academic spirit of "rigor, pragmatism, diligence, and innovation," foster the perseverance of "decades of dedicated focus to refine a craft," and extended best wishes to all participating teams for success in demonstrating their skills and ethos.

After two days of intense competition, Harbin Institute of Technology , Jilin University, and Dalian University of Technology were awarded the Grand Prize. A total of nine universities advanced to the national competition: Harbin Institute of Technology, Jilin University , Dalian University of Technology, Harbin Engineering University, Changchun University of Science and Technology, Northeast Normal University, Shenyang Aerospace University, Beihua University, and Harbin Normal University. Additionally, the competition recognized 3 winners each for the Best Debater Award, Best Female Debater Award, Best Proponent Award, Best Opponent Award, and Best Reviewer Award.
