Recently, the final review and award ceremony of the 19th "Challenge Cup" Heilongjiang Provincial College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition concluded at Northeast Petroleum University. Harbin Engineering University (HEU) won 18 first prizes, 16 second prizes, and 18 third prizes, totaling 52 awards. The total number of honors secured the top position in the province.

Since the launch of this competition, over 10,000 entries from 67 universities and involving more than 60,000 teachers and students have participated. Through university-level selections, 1,980 works were recommended to the provincial-level preliminary competition. After expert review, 195 works advanced to the final review stage. The number of participating institutions, submitted works, and participants all reached unprecedented highs. HEU had 70 projects enter the provincial preliminary competition, with 18 works successfully qualifying for the final review.

Heilongjiang Youth "Innovation, Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Creation" Achievements Exhibition was held concurrently at the venue. Over 70 physical works participated in the exchange and display, with well-known venture capital firms engaging in project matchmaking. Among them, six physical exhibits from HEU, including "Eyes on the Sea - Guardian for Offshore Drilling Platform Inspection," attracted the attention and recognition of on-site experts, and were featured in the media reports.
