On July 4th, ZHANG Xuehui, Vice President and Union Chair of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., led a five-member delegation on a visit to Harbin Engineering University(HEU). LI Rongsheng, Deputy Secretary of HEU Party Committee, attended the meeting. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions focusing on talent cultivation and scientific research.

LI Rongsheng briefed the delegation on the university's distinctive educational characteristics and achievements in talent cultivation. He highlighted that Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., as one of the most scaled, modernized, specialized, and influential shipbuilding enterprises under the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has maintained a close and productive cooperative relationship with the university over the long term. Moving forward, he expressed hope that both sides would further deepen cooperation in areas such as technological innovation and talent cultivation, jointly contributing wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of China's shipbuilding industry.

ZHANG Xuehui introduced the company's development and university-enterprise cooperation projects. He noted that HEU possesses profound cultural heritage and distinctive educational characteristics, serving as a vital base for talent cultivation and scientific research in China's "shipbuilding industry, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear energy application " field. He expected that both sides to collaborate on tackling key scientific research projects and jointly undertake major tasks. He also looked forward to more outstanding graduates joining Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., to make new and greater contributions to promoting marine economic development and building China into a strong maritime nation.
