Deputy Director JIANG Yingwei of China Electric Power Research Institute Visits HEU for Research Exchange

On August 6, a delegation of four led by JIANG Yingwei, Deputy Director of China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for research exchange. Vice President Yin Jingwei attended the meeting. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions covering interdisciplinary discipline development, research platform construction, and talent cultivation.

YIN Jingwei briefly introduced HEU’s historical evolution and its distinctive educational focus on the “SMON” (shipbuilding industry, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear energy application) fields. He stated that the two sides possess broad prospects for cooperation in areas such as energy and power systems within the domains of “SMON” and digital transformation. He expressed anticipation for establishing closer communication mechanisms to deepen collaboration.

JIANG Yingwei presented CEPRI’s recent progress in deepening the integrated innovation of energy and information technology, accelerating the construction of a new digital and intelligent energy system, and comprehensively strengthening national strategic scientific and technological capabilities in energy and power. He emphasized CEPRI's high regard for cooperation with HEU and expressed the expectation for deep collaboration between the two institutions in technological innovation, platform development, discipline construction, and talent cultivation.

During the symposium, a relevant head from CEPRI’s Distribution Research Institute delivered a thematic report titled “Building a New Power System: Serving National Major Strategies”. A relevant head from the university’s Research Administration Office provided a thematic introduction on the university’s technological innovation and development efforts.

Representatives from the Heilongjiang Electric Power Research Institute, and HEU’s Research Administration Office, College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering, College of Information and Communication Engineering, and College of Physics participated in the meeting.
