
On August 21, a delegation of five from Belarusian National Technical University, led by Rector Ablameyko · Sergey, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Vice President YU Zhiwen met with the guests. Both sides exchanged views on joint scientific research, innovative talent cultivation, faculty and student exchanges, and the establishment of collaborative platforms.

YU Zhiwen emphasized HEU’s consistent commitment to high-level international openness and cooperation, maintaining close ties with global universities and research institutions. Noting that this year marks the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus, he expressed hope that both institutions would further deepen practical collaboration in high-level scientific research and talent development.
Ablameyko · Sergey provided a brief introduction to Belarusian National Technical University. He pointed out that the high complementarity between the two universities’ disciplinary structures offers broad potential for cooperation. He expressed the hope to strengthen exchanges and collaboration in education, humanities, and scientific research, and to enhance mutual learning in key fields such as aerospace and artificial intelligence through the co-building platforms, joint talent training, and mutual visits of research teams.
Established in 1920, Belarusian National Technical University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Belarus, and is one of the founding institutions of the China-Belarus University Alliance. The university possesses strong research capabilities in rocket engines, engineering and architecture, mechanical manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and other fields. It plays a significant role in Belarus’s industrial scientific research and holds considerable influence both in Europe and worldwide.
