On September 22, MA Limin, Deputy General Manager of China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) Engineering Co., Ltd., visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for Exchange. LI Rongsheng, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the symposium. Both sides held in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, campus recruitment, and other topics.

LI Rongsheng expressed gratitude for CGN’s long-standing support to HUE’s development and introduced the institution’s history and its distinctive educational focus on the Shipbuilding Industry, Marine Equipment, Ocean Exploration and Nuclear Application He stated that the university and CGN share a solid foundation and broad prospects for collaboration. He expressed hope to further deepen cooperation in areas such as joint talent development, scientific research, and graduate employment, working together to establish new mechanisms for integrating industry, academia, research, and application, thereby cultivating more talents from HEU for the high-quality development of China's nuclear energy sector.

MA Limin provided an overview of CGN’s recent developments and talent requirements. He emphasized that as a central state-owned enterprise in the energy sector, CGN consistently prioritizes technological innovation and the recruitment of young talent. He looks forward to enhancing synergy with the university in fields including nuclear power operation and maintenance, digital technology, and safety technology, aiming to promote the exchange of resources and sharing of achievements between the institution and the enterprise, thus contributing to national energy security and the low-carbon transition.
