From September 21 to 22, President YIN Jingwei led a delegation on a research and exchange visit to China Merchants Industry Group Co., Ltd. and several alumni enterprises in the Greater Bay Area.
On the 21, YIN Jingwei and his delegation visited China Merchants Industry Group Co., Ltd. LIU Jiancheng, Chief Engineer of the group, and LI Lei, General Manager of the Science and Technology Development Department, attended the meeting. Both sides held in-depth discussions on scientific research collaboration, joint talent cultivation, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, reaching a consensus on cooperation.
YIN Jingwei highlighted that Harbin Engineering University (HEU) has maintained close communication with China Merchants Industry Group, with a solid foundation for cooperation in areas such as high-end ship design and construction, and deep-sea resource development. HEU will further leverage its technical expertise and talent resources to deepen practical collaboration with the group, promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation.
LIU Jiancheng briefly introduced the history and development of China Merchants Industry Group and expressed high appreciation for the achievements of Harbin Engineering University (HEU). He expressed hope that in the future, both sides would focus on the high-end, green, and intelligent trends in marine equipment, fully utilize their respective strengths, and comprehensively enhance cooperation in areas including collaborative major projects, key technology research, and commercialization of scientific payoffs. This aims to foster the deep integration of innovation, industrial, capital, and talent chains, propel the transformation and upgrading of the shipbuilding industry, and jointly contribute more significantly to the sector’s development.
On the 22, YIN Jingwei’s delegation visited the alumni enterprises Zhuhai Macase Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. YIN Jingwei noted that the extensive body of alumni has carried forward the fine traditions of “Harbin Military Engineering Academy,” engaging in fields vital to national development and establishing a large number of outstanding enterprises. These contributions to socio-economic development represent a source of pride and a reliable strength for the alma mater. He expressed the hope for even closer ties between alumni and the university, facilitating deep integration and two-way empowerment aligned with the institution's high-quality development, thereby contributing HEU’s strength to national construction.
