On September 21–22, the finals of the 2025 New Domain and New Quality Innovation Competition took place in Qingdao. Harbin Engineering University (HEU) achieved outstanding results, earning the Runyang Technology Venture Investment Special Award and three Merit Awards.

Centered on the theme “Gathering Wisdom in New Domains, Concentrating Ingenuity in New Quality,” the competition spotlighted five key fields: advanced instruments and manufacturing equipment, artificial intelligence (AI), cyber information, unmanned systems, and aerospace. The contest featured two tracks — “Free Exploration” and “Demand-Oriented Proposition”—with two participation categories: the University Teachers and Students Group and the Innovation Enterprise Group.
