On September 27, the founding ceremony of the International Student Education Branch of the China Nuclear Industry Education Society was held at Harbin Engineering University (HEU). WANG Anmin, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Nuclear Industry Education Society, and Vice President YU Zhiwen attended the event and delivered speeches.

YU Zhiwen stated that developing international student education is a crucial link in serving national strategies, cultivating talent for global governance, and deepening international exchange and cooperation. As the chair unit of the International Student Branch, HEU will work closely with all member units, committed to cultural mutual learning, university-enterprise collaboration, and resource sharing. It aims to effectively transform the university's disciplinary strength in the field of nuclear energy into momentum for international education, cultivating more high-level specialized talents with a friendship towards China and a vision for cutting-edge technology for the peaceful use of nuclear energy worldwide, thereby demonstrating the responsibility of Chinese higher education.

WANG Anmin, representing the China Nuclear Industry Education Society, congratulated the establishment of the International Student Education Branch and offered several suggestions for its future work: adhere to fostering virtue through education and serve national strategies; build a collaborative platform and play a bridging role; strengthen connotative development and enhance the quality of cultivation; consolidate industry strength to build a development community; and promote cultural exchange to enhance understanding and mutual trust. He expressed hope that the International Student Education Branch would contribute to promoting the high-quality development of international student education in China's nuclear industry and expanding the influence of nuclear industry universities.



The authorized representative from the China Nuclear Industry Education Society read out the “Approval on the Organizational Structure and Membership Composition of the International Student Education Branch”.
WANG Anmin and YU Zhiwen jointly unveiled the plaque for the International Student Education Branch and presented appointment letters to the Branch President and Vice Presidents respectively.
Subsequently, the first committee work meeting of the International Student Education Branch and a seminar on the Chinese Government Atomic Energy Scholarship Project were held successively, discussing the branch's plans and work, and exchanging views on the experiences and challenges of the Atomic Energy Scholarship Project.
