China National Computer Congress to be Held in Harbin

On September 29, the press conference for the 2025 China National Computer Congress (CNCC 2025) was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Attendees included SONG Yingdong, Secretary of the Party Committee at Harbin Engineering University (HEU); ZHANG Zhe, Vice Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Heilongjiang Province; YANG Aiguo, Deputy Secretary of the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province; LIU Ting, Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT); YU Zhiwen, Vice Chairman of the China National Computer Congress; and CUI Peng, Deputy Secretary of the China Computer Federation (CCF). The press conference was chaired by TANG Weiqing, Secretary of CCF.

This year’s congress, themed “Digital and Intelligent Empowerment • Infinite Possibilities,” is co-hosted by HEU and HIT. It will take place in Harbin from October 22 to 25.

SONG Yingdong emphasized that HEU is among the first universities in China to establish the Computer Science and Technology major, with a strong foundation in computer science. To ensure the congress’s success, the university is mobilizing key resources, providing comprehensive support, and focusing on all aspects of the event. HEU is committed to ensuring the congress runs smoothly and aims to make CNCC 2025 a landmark event with greater influence and broader participation.

ZHANG Zhe expressed her hope that the congress would serve as a platform to promote the integration of Heilongjiang’s digital economy with its real economy. She noted that activities such as investment promotion and showcasing scientific achievements would provide strong momentum for the province’s revitalization.

YANG Aiguo provided a comprehensive overview of Harbin’s preparations and support for the congress.

LIU Ting highlighted HIT’s active involvement in supporting Heilongjiang’s digital economy. The university has established a dedicated leadership team, coordinated efforts across various departments, and will provide sub-venues, high-quality volunteer services, and logistical support to ensure a top-tier academic event in computer science. He looked forward to welcoming both domestic and international guests to Harbin.

YU Zhiwen presented detailed information on the keynote speakers, conference reports, and the organization of the conference forums.

CUI Peng outlined the overall structure of the thematic forums. From 223 applications, 138 forums were carefully selected, covering 34 cutting-edge fields and organized into 9 major themes.

Journalists at the event raised questions on several key topics, including developments in digital intelligence technology, the international scope of the congress, and the role of computing technology in local industry integration. It was also announced that a series of supporting activities, such as technology exhibitions, talent recruitment, and entrepreneurship matchmaking, will take place during the congress, offering a comprehensive platform for exchange and collaboration.
