HEU Claims National Championship at 2nd China Graduate OS Open-Source Innovation Competition

The national finals of the “China Data Valley · Huawei Cup” 2nd China Graduate Operating System Open-Source Innovation Competition were held in Hangzhou. The project titled “MindMap—A User Profile Construction and Form Intelligent Filling System Integrating Knowledge Graph and Multimodal Large Models,” developed by the “Hearts and Minds with the Party” team from the School of Computer Science and Technology, won First Prize and secured the overall National Championship. Another team, “YYeTs AI Edition,” received Third Prize for their project “AI-powered Video Subtitle Auto-display and Recognition Tool.” Faculty advisor LI Lijie was honored with the “Outstanding Advisor” award, and Harbin Engineering University (HEU) was recognized as an “Outstanding Organizing Unit.”

The China Graduate Operating System Open-Source Innovation Competition is one of the thematic events under the China Graduate Innovation & Practice Series. Guided by national strategic needs, the competition aims to strengthen fundamental software ecosystems and talent development. Focusing on key operating system technologies and ecosystem building, it seeks to stimulate postgraduates' innovation awareness, enhance their innovative and practical capabilities, and cultivate high-end talent that is innovative, interdisciplinary, and application-oriented, thereby providing essential talent support for the healthy development of the operating system ecosystem.

Under the theme “Open Source Gathers Wisdom, Intelligence Paints the Data Valley,” this year’s contest saw 8 teams from across the country receive First Prizes, with 3 of these teams awarded the Championship, 1st Runner-up, and 2nd Runner-up respectively. Additionally, 18 teams won Second Prizes, and 57 teams received Third Prizes.
