On October 21, the 23rd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals commenced in Shanghai. State Councilor SHEN Yiqin delivered a video address and declared the conference open. Vice President of Harbin Engineering University (HEU) YU Zhiwen attended the opening ceremony.

The event featured the signing ceremonies for several significant talent collaboration projects. Representing their respective institutions, YU Zhiwen and Konrad Gromaszek, Vice Rector of the Lublin University of Technology, Poland, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Harbin Engineering University and the Lublin University of Technology.

During the conference, YU Zhiwen held separate meetings with Konrad Gromaszek, Vice Rector of the Lublin University of Technology; Urszula Kosior, Vice Rector of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin; and Ivan Komarov, Vice Rector of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. They engaged in substantive discussions regarding potential exchanges and cooperation between the institutions.

Held under the theme “Gathering the Global Talents, Pursuing Win-Win Cooperation,” the conference was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs) and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. The opening ceremony saw participation from over 2,600 foreign experts representing more than 110 countries and regions. Our university had invited 27 academicians and 116 foreign experts from 27 countries to take part in the event.
