On October 26, General Manager Zhou Jianxiang of Zhongchuan Chengxi Ship Repair & Building Co., Ltd. led a five-member delegation on a trip to Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for research and recruitment. President YIN Jingwei met with the guests in the Qihang VIP Reception Room, accompanied by Presidential Assistant CHEN Hailong.
YIN Jingwei extended a welcome to ZHOU Jianxiang and his delegation. He emphasized that in recent years, HEU has consistently aligned its efforts with national strategic priorities and industry demands, maintaining its distinctive focus on the domains of “SMON” ( shipbuilding industry, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear energy application), and is dedicated to cultivating reliable, competent, and innovative talents. Noting the solid foundation and broad potential for collaboration between HEU and Zhongchuan Chengxi, he expressed hope for enhanced communication and continuous expansion of practical cooperation in areas including joint scientific research, major project applications, collaborative talent development, graduate employment, and continuing education. The aim is to forge a new chapter in university-enterprise partnership for mutual success and contribute further to the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry through the efforts of HEU.
ZHOU Jianxiang expressed gratitude for the longstanding support from HEU and provided a detailed overview of the company’s development. He acknowledged HEU’s profound heritage and unique characteristics, highlighting its role as a pivotal base for talent cultivation and scientific research in naval architecture and ocean engineering, providing substantial human resources and intellectual support for national maritime initiatives. Looking ahead, he hoped both sides would leverage their respective strengths to deepen industry-academia-research integration and explore innovative models and pathways for collaboration. Furthermore, he welcomed more HEU students, who embody national commitment, solid expertise, and global perspective, to join Zhongchuan Chengxi.
The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on further optimizing the university-enterprise cooperation mechanism, enhancing the quality of talent training, and promoting high-quality employment for graduates.
Prior to the meeting, ZHOU Jianxiang and his delegation visited the Harbin Military Engineering Institute Memorial Hall.
