From October 28 to 30, the 2025 China Marine Economy Expo was held in Shenzhen. The expo focused on building a platform for exchange and cooperation in the marine economy, alongside hosting multiple high-level forums and exhibitions. As an invited university participant, Harbin Engineering University (HEU) meticulously organized several research teams and four alumni enterprises to form a delegation, showcasing over 30 cutting-edge scientific achievements and advanced equipment. Vice President HAN Duanfeng attended the opening ceremony and related events.
It is reported that the expo closely followed the development trend of “Digital & Intelligent Ocean,” featuring three main sections: exhibitions, forums, and supporting activities.

Guided by the principle of “technological breakthrough and industrial application,” HEU highlighted a series of innovative achievements and alumni products with broad application prospects in fields such as intelligent unmanned vehicles, smart ships, marine information, and special marine materials. These drew significant attention from participating experts, industry representatives, and on-site visitors.

The exhibits demonstrated the deep integration of the HEU’s disciplinary expertise and alumni resources, serving as a vivid example of the institution’s commitment to the marine sector and its contribution to national marine development. Moving forward, the university will continue to leverage its strengths in key disciplines, deepen industry-academia-research-application collaboration, and facilitate the transition of scientific achievements from the laboratory to the deep blue, contributing more robust “HEU strength” to enhancing China’s marine economy and advancing high-quality development in marine endeavors.
