On December 12, ZHANG Bing, Vice President of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), led a delegation to Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for a research and exchange visit. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding scientific research, talent cultivation, and platform development. SONG Yingdong, Party Secretary of HEU, attended the symposium, while Vice President YAN Rujian accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

SONG Yingdong welcomed the delegation, noting that China’s aerospace industry is currently in a “golden period” of high-quality development. He emphasized that HEU remains committed to strengthening its partnership with CALT, aiming to broaden the scope of joint research on major projects, optimize talent training mechanisms, and enhance resource sharing to contribute to Chinese modernization.

ZHANG Bing expressed his gratitude for HEU’s long-standing support and praised the university’s significant contributions to the aerospace sector. He called for more systematic, long-term collaboration, specifically through the creation of joint research platforms focused on key core technologies to bridge the gap between industry and academia.

During the symposium, CALT experts outlined the academy’s development goals, while HEU representatives presented the university’s latest innovations and future cooperation plans. Prior to the meeting, the delegation toured several key laboratories and the PLA Military Engineering Institute Hall.
