Attracting over 5,500 participants, the campus has been filled with the vitality of striving and the warmth of humanism.

This year’s Cultural and Sports Festival aims to build a sports education ecosystem of “full participation, year-round implementation, and comprehensive coverage”, guiding students to temper their will in competitions and unite forces through cooperation.

The “President’s Cup” Freshmen Basketball Tournament ignited the passion of the new semester, covering all freshmen on campus.

Table tennis and badminton series events ran throughout the autumn. The “Juli Cup” Table Tennis League and the first “Qingyu Cup” Badminton Tournament were successively held at the Qingdao Base.

Leveraging the northern ice and snow resources, the university integrated ice and snow sports into the cultural and sports education system, turning the harsh winter into a stage to temper will and convey enthusiasm.

University-level snow football and snow volleyball matches were held enthusiastically in the ice and snow. The “Leaping on Ice” themed activity invited ZHU Qiuying, champion of figure skating at the National Games, to HEU.

The Cultural and Sports Festival is not only a stage for competition but also a carrier of joy. Various interesting activities combine sports with creativity, allowing students to relieve stress and enhance friendships amid laughter.

The “Vitality Cup” Fun Ball Relay Race featured an innovative design.

Focusing on the integration of traditional culture and modern art, this year’s Cultural and Sports Festival aimed to cultivate students’ aesthetic taste and cultural confidence.

The 7th “Luming Cup” Literary Creation Competition solicited works from all teachers, students, and alumni of the university, with excellent works published in the university-level youth journal Youth Campus. The calligraphy series events included the “Danmo Zhuhun” Calligraphy Competition and the “Lanting Cup” Calligraphy Competition, with three categories: brush calligraphy, hard-tip calligraphy, and class notes.

Intangible cultural heritage experience activities were also highlights.

The 34th Campus Top 10 Singers Competition ran throughout the season, with a three-level competition system: preliminary, semi-final, and final.

The 2025 autumn semester Cultural and Sports Festival of Harbin Engineering University is not only a series of activities but also a vivid practice of the educational philosophy of “promoting all-round education (moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education) and fostering virtue through education”. HEU students grow through participation and elevate themselves through experience. The university will continue to optimize activity content, innovate presentation forms, and tap more regional characteristics, disciplinary advantages, and cultural resources to help every student write a more splendid youth chapter on the path of all-round development.
