
On January 26, a 14-member delegation from Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University in Thailand, led by President Khanakorn Sawangcharoen, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Vice Presidents YU Zhiwen and YIN Hang met with the guests.

YU Zhiwen expressed that HEU consistently upholds an open approach to education and regards Thailand as a key international partner. He highlighted the potential for collaboration in areas such as joint student programs and faculty exchanges, with the goal of cultivating professionals in international Chinese education who demonstrate both strong linguistic abilities and a deep familiarity with Chinese and Thai cultures.

Khanakorn Sawangcharoen briefly introduced the profile of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. He spoke highly of HEU’s strong academic strengths and expressed hope that this visit would serve as a new starting point to advance in-depth collaboration between the two universities in fields such as artificial intelligence and Chinese language and literature, thereby jointly promoting educational and cultural exchanges and development between China and Thailand.

uring the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on academic cooperation.
Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University is located in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Established in 1896, it is a public royal university approved by the Thai Ministry of Education. The university is committed to applying knowledge in disciplines such as languages, arts, and culture to promote local sustainable development.
