Recently, the 20th Anniversary Commemoration of Communications of the China Computer Federation (CCCF) and the inaugural meeting of the first Editorial Board of Computing were held in Xi’an.

The event was attended by GAO Wen, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE); JIANG Lin, Party Secretary of Northwest University; WANG Xinxia, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Computer Federation (CCF); LI Jianzhong, Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology; YU Zhiwen, Professor at Harbin Engineering University (HEU); and HAN Yuqi, former Director of the Editorial Department of CCCF. The meeting was presided over by LIU Yunhao, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

At the meeting, the first Editorial Board of Computing was officially established. The journal is co-edited by LIU Yunhao and YU Zhiwen. The Editorial Board consists of 54 members from “Double First-Class” universities and leading research institutions, including the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among them are 22 national-level talents, providing a strong foundation for the journal’s academic quality and strategic development.
During the appointment ceremony, YU Zhiwen and WANG Xinxia jointly presented appointment letters to representatives of the inaugural Editorial Board.
Launched in May 2025, Computing is supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, sponsored by Harbin Engineering University, and guided by the China Computer Federation. Focusing on cutting-edge topics such as human–machine–thing integrated computing and large model–empowered cybersecurity, the journal features eight columns dedicated to publishing original research and applied practices in the computing field. The Editorial Board is committed to advancing high-level academic exchange, promoting innovation in information technology, helping readers and practitioners stay informed of emerging trends, and contributing to scientific, technological, and social progress.
