
A 12-member delegation from Northeast Forestry University (NEFU), led by Vice President ZHANG Chunlei, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) on March 6 for an institutional exchange. Party Committee Deputy Secretary LI Rongsheng hosted a symposium where both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on student services and career development initiatives.

Extending a warm welcome to the visiting delegation, LI Rongsheng provided an overview of HEU’s student affairs framework. He noted that both institutions have maintained robust exchanges and collaborative ties, sharing the mission of serving national strategic needs and contributing to the revitalization of Heilongjiang Province. He expressed hope for strengthened mutual learning in areas such as routine student management and career guidance, aiming to jointly explore innovative pathways for talent cultivation in higher education and drive high-quality advancement in student services.

ZHANG Chunlei highlighted HEU’s distinctive educational approach, describing its student services and career development strategies as well-defined, systematic, and outcome-oriented. He emphasized their value as a reference for NEFU’s practices. Highlighting the geographical bond and strong partnership between the two institutions in Northeast China, ZHANG called for deeper regular communication, broader collaboration, and enriched cooperation to jointly contribute to nurturing high-caliber talent.
During the symposium, participants exchanged insights on ongoing initiatives, addressed operational challenges, and deliberated on strategic approaches to common issues.
