On March 19, a 13-member delegation led by CHEN Fengyan, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Heilongjiang Branch, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for research and exchange. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including smart campus development, platform construction, the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and talent cultivation. Vice President YU Zhiwen attended the meeting.

YU Zhiwen extended a warm welcome to CHEN Fengyan and his delegation. He noted that in recent years, HEU and China Unicom have continued to deepen their collaboration, steadily advancing their strategic partnership. The two sides have jointly established an innovation center, working to promote the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. The co-application for the “5G + Smart Education” pilot project, sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education, was successfully approved, and the resulting outcomes were selected as one of 44 national typical cases, delivering notable demonstration effects. He expressed hope that both parties would continue to strengthen cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation, collaborative research, industry-education integration, technology transfer, and the enhancement of smart campus infrastructure, with the aim of generating a set of replicable and scalable results, and jointly creating a new model for school-enterprise collaboration and shared success.

CHEN Fengyan stated that the two sides share a strong foundation for exchange and broad space for cooperation. He described the visit as both an effort to deepen ties and a step toward pursuing joint innovation and development. China Unicom remains committed to the principles of “One Unicom, integrated capability aggregation, and integrated operations and services,” and stands ready to work alongside HEU with a pragmatic approach, an open mindset, and professional service. By leveraging the resources and technological strengths of both sides, the partnership aims to build greater synergy and contribute more significantly to shared goals.
