On March 30, a delegation led by LIU Min, Deputy General Manager of CSSC Haizhou System Technology Co., Ltd., visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for a research exchange. The two parties held a symposium to discuss the development and promotion of shipbuilding industrial software and joint talent cultivation. HAN Duanfeng, Vice President of HEU, attended the meeting.

HAN Duanfeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He stated that China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) is one of the university’s most important strategic partners, noting that the two sides have established extensive, high-impact cooperative relations. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as a catalyst for establishing a regular communication mechanism to facilitate multi-level practical cooperation and jointly advance independent innovation within China’s shipbuilding industry.

LIU Min provided an overview of CSSC Haizhou’s development since its inception. He noted that as a core CSSC enterprise focused on industrial software and system technologies, the company is committed to building an independently controllable industrial software ecosystem. He highlighted HEU as a premier base for scientific research and talent in naval architecture and ocean engineering. By integrating CSSC Haizhou’s software into the university curriculum, he aims to merge HEU’s research strengths with the company’s industrial expertise to support the digital transformation of the shipbuilding sector.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in detailed discussions regarding industrial software technology research, curriculum co-construction, the development of training platforms, joint talent cultivation, and the promotion of scientific achievement transformation.
Prior to the symposium, the delegation toured the Harbin Institute of Military Engineering Memorial Hall and the university’s scientific and technological achievement exhibition.
