A four-member delegation led by Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), recently visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU). SONG Yingdong, Party Secretary of HEU, met with the delegation in the VIP Room on the eighth floor of HEU’s Office Building.
SONG Yingdong stated that HEU, as one of the first pilot institutions for comprehensive higher education reform designated by the Ministry of Education, is actively advancing the integration of artificial intelligence into education and exploring ways to deeply combine smart technologies with talent cultivation. He expressed willingness to share relevant experiences with RMUTP. Over the next five years, HEU will launch a series of initiatives with partner institutions in friendly countries, including “2+2” joint undergraduate programs for international students, overseas master’s programs in engineering for outstanding students, and academic exchanges and visits for faculty and students. He extended a warm welcome to Thai faculty and students to actively participate in these cooperative programs, to jointly cultivate high-level international talent, and to inject new momentum into higher education cooperation between China and Thailand.
Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, briefly introduced the educational profile of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. He highlighted that this visit reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening international academic cooperation. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to promote pragmatic collaboration in areas such as engineering automation, AI-empowered education, and technological innovation. He expressed confidence that the partnership between the two universities will achieve mutual benefits and set a new milestone for educational exchanges between Thailand and China.
