On April 3, the 2026 Advanced Technology Transfer and Matchmaking Exchange, featuring universities directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was held at the Weifang Science and Technology Market. The National Science Park of Harbin Engineering University (HEU) unveiled 15 key advanced technology achievements at the event, precisely aligning with Weifang’s industrial needs to facilitate deep industry-academia-research integration between the university and the city.
The matchmaking exchange focused on Weifang’s key industrial chains, including marine economy, intelligent equipment, and automobile manufacturing, establishing a precise matchmaking platform between universities and enterprises to promote the transfer and application of advanced technologies. The National Science Park selected 15 technological achievements and four exhibits, including an automatic welding robot, covering four major areas: intelligent equipment, marine information, advanced manufacturing, and new materials, fully demonstrating HEU’s distinctive strengths in the fields of naval architecture, ocean engineering, and nuclear science.
HEU and Weifang have previously established a solid foundation for close collaboration. The National Science Park has made multiple dedicated visits to Weifang for targeted matchmaking, and both sides have reached a consensus on deepening cooperation and jointly establishing an advanced technology transfer base. During the exchange, the technology manager team from the Science Park held in-depth discussions with representatives of key enterprises and technology transfer institutions in Weifang, engaging in one-on-one targeted matchmaking focused on key achievements. Multiple initial cooperation intentions have been reached.
Moving forward, the National Science Park will continue to leverage HEU’s disciplinary and platform strengths in scientific research, closely align with the industrial chain layout of Weifang, establish a regular matchmaking mechanism, and promote the pilot-scale incubation of scientific and technological achievements, targeted technology breakthroughs, and talent cultivation. The goal is to enable more “HEU-developed innovations” to empower Weifang, injecting robust technological momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
