On April 16, the inauguration ceremony of the High-Speed Motor Research Institute at Harbin Engineering University（HEU）was held in the Sunshine Hall of the Qihang Activity Center.

SONG Yingdong, Secretary of HEU Party Committee; YIN Jingwei, President of HEU; ZHANG Qingyuan, Chairman of Jiangsu Zhiyuan Maglev Technology Co., Ltd.; and SUN Peng, Deputy Director of the No. 703 Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, jointly unveiled the institute’s plaque.

High-speed motor technology is a core technology in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing. As the role of enterprises in driving technological innovation becomes increasingly prominent, the newly established institute serves as a practical platform for collaborative innovation. Adopting a “university-led + enterprise-cooperative” model, the institute brings together the No. 703 Research Institute of CSSC, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin Electric Group, Jiamusi Electric Co., Ltd., Shangneng Electric Co., Ltd., and Arelay Electric Co., Ltd., among other universities and enterprises, to deepen industry-university-research-application integration, with a focus on marine applications and energy equipment.

The institute is expected to support the development of new productive forces, including air compressors, flywheel energy storage, and high-speed pumps, while helping to upgrade the equipment manufacturing industry in Heilongjiang Province. Looking ahead, the institute will continue to promote the coordinated advancement of technological innovation and industrial application, contributing to national development with the strength of HEU.
