The China Scholarship Council has recently announced the approval results for its 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Programs, and Harbin Engineering University (HEU) has secured nine approved projects. These programs will admit students from 19 countries and regions, marking new breakthroughs in terms of participating countries, project scale, and program design.

Since 2024, HEU has actively responded to national initiatives and focused on developing its “HEUVision” series of distinctive short-term programs. Guided by the principles of “leading with flagship disciplines, supporting with fundamental academic fields, and empowering through distinctive themes,” the university leverages its top-tier disciplines such as naval architecture and marine engineering as a core foundation, while integrating multiple general and basic disciplines. Closely aligned with the two central pillars of technological innovation and cross-cultural exchange, HEU has continuously strengthened this platform for mutual learning and interaction between Chinese and international youth. To date, the university has hosted 665 students from 17 countries, making the International Summer School a key vehicle for showcasing HEU’s academic strengths, deepening international cooperation, and fostering cultural exchange.
