On May 29, YIN Jingwei, President of Harbin Engineering University (HEU), visited the Nanhai Institute of HEU for investigation and research, attended a series of activities, consoled faculty members, students and alumni, and promoted the university’s industrial empowerment, scientific and technological innovation and talent training to a new level.

The launching ceremony of “Harbin Engineering University Alumni Entrepreneurs’ Visit to Sanya for Empowerment Action” was held in the auditorium of Yazhou Bay Innovation Research and Study Valley. WANG Qiyang, Secretary of the Sanya Municipal Party Committee of Hainan Province, YIN Jingwei, President of HEU, and ZHANG Qingyuan, representative of alumni entrepreneurs, attended the event and delivered speeches.

In his speech, WANG Qiyang pointed out that Sanya will, with the utmost sincerity, optimal policies and strongest services, fully support HEU and its alumni enterprises in carrying out scientific and technological research and development and investment and entrepreneurship in Sanya, so that every HEU alumni entrepreneur can develop with peace of mind, start a business with confidence and reap rewards with comfort.

YIN Jingwei stated that the purpose of this action is to gather alumni wisdom, capital and industrial resources, and promote the industrial strength of HEU alumni to move from “scattered distribution” to “cluster operation” and from the internal campus cycle to the regional large cycle. The university will provide all-round service guarantees for the landing of alumni enterprises, fully promote the transformation and application of scientific research achievements in the field of deep-sea science and technology in Sanya, and contribute HEU’s strength to national construction.

ZHANG Qingyuan delivered a speech on behalf of the Global Alumni Enterprise Alliance. He stated that the alliance will give full play to the industrial advantages of alumni enterprises in the fields of shipbuilding, ocean, nuclear energy and others, guide more alumni enterprises to participate in the integrated development of education, science and technology and talents in Sanya, assist in promoting the transformation and implementation of scientific research achievements, and do a good job in publicity and introduction for Sanya’s talent recruitment and intelligence introduction, making HEU alumni enterprises a new force in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

YIN Jingwei presented the flag to XING Jianxin, Chairman of the Deep-Sea Science and Technology Industry Alumni Association.

Relevant responsible persons from various fields made special promotions on the investment and development opportunities of the deep-sea science and technology industry, and representatives of alumni enterprises shared practical experience from the perspectives of technological innovation and industrial implementation.

During the investigation and research in Hainan, the delegation went to Hainan International Commercial Space Launch Co., Ltd. for investigation and exchange, and held a symposium with YANG Tianliang, Chairman of the company. Subsequently, the delegation visited the Sanya Research Center of Hanjiang Laboratory for investigation and research.
