Recently, LI Weichang, Vice Director of Lenovo Group, was invited to the 21st Shanhai Forum of Harbin Engineering University (HEU), where he delivered a themed lecture.

Drawing on Lenovo’s extensive practices in artificial intelligence, LI Weichang elaborated on the pivotal role of hybrid AI technology in advancing inclusive AI adoption during the lecture. He noted that artificial intelligence is expanding from the cloud to end devices, and the evolution of AI terminals is reshaping human-computer interaction logic. The iterative upgrading of intelligent agent capabilities is ushering terminal devices into a brand-new “AI terminal era”. He also shared Lenovo’s strategic thinking and innovative achievements in the integrated development of “AI + terminals”. He emphasized that AI is not a distant future, but a reality unfolding at present — from smart office to smart education, from industrial manufacturing to daily life services, AI is integrating into all industries in a subtle and pervasive way.

In the interactive Q&A session, faculty and students raised questions enthusiastically. LI Weichang offered pragmatic and inspiring insights combined with his personal experience, which was met with rounds of applause. He encouraged young students: “In the age of AI, everyone can participate and everyone can create. Do not wait or stand by. Take the initiative to learn, dare to practice, and find your own position in the wave of technological transformation.”

After the lecture, faculty and students expressed that the sharing by alumnus LI Weichang combined strategic vision with practical depth. It not only broadened their horizons, but also inspired their sense of mission to contribute to national development.
