A delegation of six, led by ZHENG Xiaodong, Vice President of Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJU), recently visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for a research exchange. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including institutional structuring and categorical performance evaluation, the integrated development of education, science and talent, as well as personnel system reforms. YIN Hang, Vice President of HEU, chaired the meeting.

YIN Hang welcomed ZHENG and his delegation. He noted that HEU and ZJU have long maintained a strong cooperative relationship, marked by mutual learning and shared progress. He expressed hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to further deepen collaboration, fully leverage the distinctive disciplinary strengths of both institutions, and jointly explore effective pathways for serving national strategies, thereby contributing wisdom and strength to national development.

ZHENG Xiaodong briefly introduced the developmental history and educational characteristics of Zhejiang Gongshang University. He highlighted HEU’s distinctive academic identity and rich heritage, as well as its significant contributions to China’s economic and social development. He expressed his hope to draw on HEU’s advanced experience in the integration of education, science and talent, and in personnel system reforms, so as to deepen inter-university exchanges and cooperation, and further enhance the modernization of ZJU’s governance system and capacity.
