On 14 July, ZHU Dianyong, Dean of HEU’s School of Foreign Studies, and Assistant Dean ZHU Gexun led students from the 2025 English-AI Experimental Class on an industrial study tour to Gopha Group. LIU Xiaohui, General Manager of Gopha Data, GAO Xiaochao, Deputy General Manager, and LIU Jianwei, Chief Operating Officer, accompanied the visit.

The faculty and students toured the enterprise exhibition hall and green mass cloud storage computing power centre, gaining a comprehensive overview of the group’s industrial layout, core R&D achievements and digital transformation applications. In the exhibition hall, participants reviewed proprietary technological breakthroughs and live projects including smart city digital infrastructure and blockchain traceability for medicinal herbs. At the computing power centre, students observed physical computing clusters and learned about resource allocation, natural cold-source energy conservation, full-lifecycle operation management and multi-layer data security protection systems, establishing systematic understanding of the underlying architecture and operation logic of digital industries.

During the forum session, Gopha Group executives shared insights on digital industry trends, talent competency standards and career development pathways, outlining the company’s business priorities and the integrated development roadmap of quantum computing, intelligent computing and high-performance computing. The enterprise introduced school-industry cooperation projects for data labelling and targeted talent training programmes, offering internship opportunities for HEU students to participate in real industrial projects.

ZHU Dianyong noted the college will continuously optimise the training system for the English-AI Experimental Class and establish regular long-term cooperation with Gopha Group, cultivating high-calibre compound talents with solid linguistic proficiency and digital literacy to advance high-quality university talent development.
Participating students stated the field trip deepened their awareness of the digital transformation of modern foreign language disciplines, helping them identify skill gaps and clear learning objectives. Moving forward, they will strengthen core linguistic capabilities while advancing digital expertise to grow into versatile professionals matching industrial and societal demands.
