On 23 July, the summary and exchange conference of the 6th National University Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition was held in Nanjing. Seven faculty members and teams from Harbin Engineering University (HEU) received awards, including one first prize, two second prizes and four third prizes. The university was again conferred the National Excellent Organisation Award, ranking second nationwide.

Since the competition was launched in December 2025, all teaching and research units at HEU have actively mobilised and organised faculty to participate. The event serves as practical training to refine teachers’ teaching innovation capabilities, continuously consolidating the foundation of undergraduate education and underpinning the cultivation of high-calibre talents for the new era.

The 7th National University Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition will be co-hosted by HEU, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin Medical University and Northeast Agricultural University. At the flag handover ceremony during the closing session, ZHAO Yuxin, Vice President of HEU, received the competition flag on behalf of the university.

The competition has effectively motivated faculty to engage in teaching research and promote curriculum innovation, ensuring educational benefits are delivered directly to students in classrooms. The National University Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition has become a strong engine for HEU to deepen teaching reform and an important bond for facilitating faculty exchange.
