Recently, a delegation of 21 people led by LI Guoyang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU). CHEN Hailong, Assistant to the President of HEU, attended the meeting. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and explored new pathways for collaborative development.

CHEN Hailong welcomed the delegation. He stated that HEU has accumulated strong research capabilities in unmanned equipment, deep-sea communication, and AI special-purpose robots. The university has established long-term and stable cooperation with key enterprises and institutions in Hefei and Wuhu cities of Anhui Province, jointly building the Wuhu Unmanned Intelligent Research Institute and facilitating the docking and implementation of intelligent manufacturing projects. He hoped that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to further unblock the transformation channel from “laboratory to production line,” and deepen cooperation in joint research, co-construction of innovation platforms, and supply of high-end talent, so as to jointly serve national development.

During the exchange meeting, leading researchers from relevant fields presented their latest advances in unmanned surface vessel development, intelligent welding technologies, and unmanned mining equipment, among other cutting-edge areas. The two parties reached broad consensus on multiple fronts and identified several concrete avenues for future collaboration.
