On 30 July, a delegation led by ZOU Yonghua, Vice President of Hainan University, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU). The two sides held a symposium on asset management, open sharing of instruments and equipment, and laboratory safety management. Professor YIN Hang, Vice President of HEU, attended the meeting.

YIN Hang stated that both HEU and Hainan University are “Double First-Class” universities with distinctive features, bearing the important mission of serving national strategic needs and high-quality industrial development. He expressed hope that the two universities would strengthen exchanges and cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation in the future, and jointly contribute wisdom and strength to national development.

ZOU Yonghua introduced the history, development progress and distinctive strengths of Hainan University. He noted that HEU has a profound cultural heritage, and its practices in talent cultivation, discipline construction and scientific achievement transformation have provided valuable reference for Hainan University. He expressed hope that both sides would continue to carry out exchange visits, learn from each other’s experience, promote resource connectivity, complementary advantages and mutual empowerment, and make greater contributions to national construction and economic and social development.
