On 24 July, a 9-member delegation led by SONG Zhaohuan, Vice President of Geely Commercial Vehicles Group, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Professor YIN Jingwei, President of HEU, met with the guests in the VIP meeting room on the 8th floor of the Main Building, and the two sides held a symposium on strengthening cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation.

YIN stated that HEU has made significant contributions to scientific and technological innovation and talent development in the shipbuilding, ocean and nuclear fields. Geely Group has solid technical reserves and industrial strengths in new energy vehicles, and there is broad scope for cooperation between the two sides in areas such as methanol power systems and cold-region equipment. He expressed hope that both sides would step up exchanges and collaboration, jointly carry out research breakthroughs, talent training and platform co-construction, accelerate the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, and make new contributions to national development together.

SONG Zhaohuan noted that Geely Auto pursues a green, intelligent and sustainable development path, and has grown into a leading enterprise in China’s new energy commercial vehicle market. With a long-standing heritage and distinctive disciplinary strengths, HEU boasts outstanding advantages in power equipment and cold-region technology, which are highly aligned with the enterprise’s development needs. He expressed hope that both sides would deepen resource sharing and complement each other’s strengths, carry out practical cooperation in methanol fuel application and cold-region agricultural machinery equipment, and jointly support the realisation of the national “Dual Carbon” strategic goal.
