On August 25, YIN Jingwei, President of Harbin Engineering University, led a delegation to the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS) for an exchange visit, during which the two parties signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. LI Fenghua, Director of IACAS, attended the event. The ceremony was presided over by KU Weiqun, Deputy Director of IACAS.
LI Fenghua extended a warm welcome to YIN Jingwei and his delegation, congratulated Harbin Engineering University on its recent educational achievements, and expressed gratitude for the university's support in research and talent cultivation. He noted that the university boasts notable strengths in disciplinary development, talent training, and experimental platform construction, while IACAS possesses a comprehensive underwater acoustic experimental system and major national research mission platforms. Looking ahead, in response to the integrated development requirements of education, science and technology, and talent, he expressed anticipation for the two sides to explore further collaborative opportunities in scientific research and joint talent cultivation, to jointly address unresolved scientific questions and key technological challenges in the underwater acoustics field, and to contribute wisdom and strength in support of high-level scientific and technological advancement.
YIN Jingwei, in his address, appreciated IACAS for its longstanding care and support for the university. He remarked that Harbin Engineering University and IACAS share a close and deep rooted partnership built on a solid foundation of cooperation. He expressed the hope that both parties would fully leverage their respective strengths and continue to expand collaboration in joint talent cultivation and coordinated research endeavours, so as to make new and greater contributions to national development.
LI Fenghua and YIN Jingwei jointly signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Harbin Engineering University and the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In the future, the two parties will engage in more in depth cooperation centred on scientific and technological collaboration and talent development.
