Harbin Engineering University (HEU) recently emerged as the top-performing institution in Heilongjiang Province at the 2026 National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest (Heilongjiang Division – TI Cup) and the parallel selection competition for the National Analog Electronic System Design Special Competition, which were successfully concluded at HEU. HEU teams delivered outstanding performances, securing 25 first-prize, 19 second-prize, and 19 third-prize provincial awards, ranking first in the province in total number of awards.

As one of the most influential academic competitions in the field of electronics and information in China, this year’s event attracted more than 1,000 participants from 544 teams across 27 universities in the province. The divisional competition was held in conjunction with the national selection for the Analog Electronic System Design Special Competition. The contest problems covered multiple technical areas, including analog circuit systems, intelligent control, and embedded applications. Among them, tasks such as the vehicle-mounted balancing ball tracking and line-following control system were closely aligned with practical industry needs, combining engineering applicability with innovative challenges. The problems comprehensively tested participants’ capabilities in solution design, hardware fabrication, algorithmic programming, on-site troubleshooting, and team collaboration. Certain tasks designated TI series processor platforms as the core development tools, guiding students to engage with mainstream industry technology pathways and further enhancing the industrial relevance of their engineering practice.

As the host institution, Harbin Engineering University provided a high-level platform for scientific and technological innovation exchange among provincial universities, effectively facilitating the sharing of teaching experience and high-quality resources across institutions.
