Recently, the Frontier Forum on Intelligent Systems and the 20th Anniversary of the Founding of CAAI Transactions on Intelligent Systems, the journal of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), co-hosted by Harbin Engineering University (HEU) and the CAAI, was held in Harbin.
XU Zongben and LI Shutao, Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and YU Zhiwen, Vice President of HEU, attended the forum, which was joined by more than 60 experts and scholars from across the country.
In his address, YU Zhiwen stated that over the past two decades, the core indicators of CAAI Transactions on Intelligent Systems have achieved leapfrog improvement, and the journal has grown into a representative and leading Chinese-language academic journal in the field of intelligent science in China. Running the journal well is of great significance for HEU in serving the national artificial intelligence strategy and advancing the building of world-class scientific and technological journals. HEU will continue to empower and support the journal’s development, rely on its deep accumulations in disciplines such as ship and ocean engineering, control, and computer science to consolidate the journal’s academic foundation, strengthen talent support, and help enhance the international influence of advantageous disciplines such as intelligent science and technology.
The forum released the list of editorial board members and reviewers with outstanding contributions to the 20th anniversary of the journal’s founding, and announced the list of highly influential papers for the 20th anniversary, paying tribute to editorial board members, review experts, and authors who have long made important contributions to the journal’s topic planning, academic quality control, and output of results.
In the frontier report session on intelligent systems, Professor YU Zhiwen, LIU Chenglin, Researcher at the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, JIANG Shuqiang, Distinguished Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and ZHENG Weishi, Professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University, respectively delivered invited academic reports on frontier directions such as underwater swarm intelligence, neuro-symbolic reasoning and geometric problem solving, self-models and world models for embodied intelligence, and human-machine collaborative multi-agent closed-loop collaboration, sharing the latest research progress. Participants exchanged views on frontier hot topics in artificial intelligence.
CAAI Transactions on Intelligent Systems is the journal of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. HEU will continue to deepen collaborative cooperation with the CAAI, continuously improve the journal’s academic quality and industry influence, and jointly build it into an academic highland with distinctive features and solid quality, striving toward the goal of a world-class scientific and technological journal and contributing to the high-quality development of China’s intelligent science cause.
