On 9 September, LIU Suhua, General Manager of Shenzhen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. (SIHC), led a delegation to Harbin Engineering University (HEU) for research exchange. HAN Duanfeng, Vice President of HEU, attended the symposium. The two sides held in-depth discussions on capital empowerment for scientific and technological innovation, commercialisation of research achievements, and joint promotion of high-quality industrial development.

HAN Duanfeng welcomed the delegation. He stated that SIHC provides solid support for regional sci-tech innovation iteration, industrial transformation and upgrading, and high-end talent cultivation. He hoped both sides would take this symposium as a new starting point, focus on high-end manufacturing and technological fields such as marine industrial software, intelligent manufacturing and integrated circuits, and leverage SIHC’s industrial resources, capital advantages and innovation platform strengths, together with HEU’s strong research capacity and high-quality scientific achievements, to achieve two-way empowerment and in-depth integration. This will accelerate the commercialisation of scientific and technological outcomes, and jointly make new and greater contributions to advancing new-type industrialisation and promoting high-quality regional economic development.

LIU Suhua noted that SIHC actively guides high-quality resource factors to gather in science and technology services and industries. Looking ahead, SIHC will leverage its full-cycle, full-chain investment layout advantages, deepen practical cooperation with HEU, jointly cultivate emerging industrial clusters rooted in HEU’s research achievements and highlighting marine and naval disciplinary features, and build a new university-enterprise cooperation paradigm with deep integration of innovation, industrial and capital chains, contributing to high-level scientific and technological development.

Relevant heads from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and College of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering respectively introduced their college’ superior scientific and technological achievements.
