On 15 September, the College of Information and Communication Engineering of Harbin Engineering University (HEU) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Zhejiang Yangming Technology Development Co., Ltd. to jointly build a Joint Centre for Intelligent Electromagnetic Signal Processing, working together to create a benchmark for university-enterprise collaborative innovation.
WANG Rui, Party Secretary of the college, and ZENG Zhaoli, General Manager of Zhejiang Yangming Technology Development Co., Ltd., attended the event and inaugurated the joint centre. LI Junfu, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Yangming Technology Development Co., Ltd., SU Nan, Vice Dean of the college, and representatives from both sides attended the meeting, which was chaired by HAN Xiao, Vice Dean of the college.
In his speech, WANG Rui stated that the two sides share highly aligned research directions and a solid foundation for cooperation. They can focus precisely on core areas such as radio signal acquisition and intelligent identification, jointly carry out key technology research, scientific project application and cultivation of sci-tech achievement awards, and further advance practical cooperation including joint talent training by leveraging complementary university and enterprise resources. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this signing as an opportunity to strengthen joint planning of major projects and collaborative research on key technologies, accelerate the engineering and practical application of scientific achievements, jointly build a demonstration benchmark for university-enterprise collaborative innovation, and make new and greater contributions to research in intelligent electromagnetic signal processing.
ZENG Zhaoli introduced the founding background of Zhejiang Yangming Technology Development Co., Ltd. as well as its major research achievements and application outcomes in radio signal security. He noted that the strategic cooperation and the establishment of the joint centre represent a strong alliance of complementary strengths. He expressed the hope that both sides would further deepen all-round cooperation in scientific research, project development, sci-tech award application, joint talent training and graduate employment, to deliver mutual empowerment and common development.
HAN Xiao and LI Junfu signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the two sides. ZENG Zhaoli and WANG Rui jointly inaugurated the joint centre, and issued appointment letters to HOU Changbo and LI Junfu as directors of the centre respectively. On behalf of the college, WANG Rui received the first phase of 5 million yuan in special research funding.
