On 20 September, an industry-university-research exchange meeting between Harbin Engineering University (HEU), Aerospace Information University and the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics was held at HEU’s Yantai Research Institute. YIN Jingwei, President of HEU, LI Xiaoming, Deputy Director of the Connotation Construction Task Force of Aerospace Information University and SHI Feng, Deputy Director of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, attended the meeting. The event was chaired by CHEN Hailong, Assistant to the President of HEU. At the meeting, HEU signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with the two partners respectively.
YIN Jingwei stated that the three parties are highly aligned in multiple research directions and fields. He expressed the hope that both partners would strengthen cooperation with HEU, jointly carry out talent training, scientific research and achievement commercialisation, and make new contributions to supporting high-level sci-tech development.
LI Xiaoming stated that Aerospace Information University focuses on three core areas: aerospace, information technology and earth observation. He expressed the hope that this meeting would serve as a new starting point to deepen practical cooperation with HEU, actively connect with local industrial resources, find application scenarios for research outcomes, accelerate the transfer of technologies from laboratories to industrial frontlines, and jointly build a demonstration model of mutually beneficial industry-university-research cooperation.
SHI Feng stated that the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics has always been rooted in national strategic needs and delivered outstanding results. He expressed the hope that with this signing as an opportunity, the two sides would establish a sound regular communication mechanism, jointly tackle core technologies, cultivate interdisciplinary talents, open up channels for achievement transformation, focus on implementation and practical results, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of China’s equipment manufacturing and aerospace-ocean-space sectors.
At the meeting, LI Xiaoming was appointed as an adjunct professor of HEU, and YIN Jingwei issued the appointment letter.
Heads of relevant departments from all participating units introduced their respective research capabilities and technical demands, and held in-depth discussions on joint platform building, collaborative research, joint high-end talent cultivation and the commercialisation of scientific achievements.
