On 13 October, the launch ceremony for the “Embodied Intelligence Industry-Education Integration Innovation Practice Platform”, co-built by Harbin Engineering University (HEU) and PrimeBOT, was held at the VIP Meeting Room of the Qihang Activity Centre. LI Rongsheng, Deputy Party Secretary of HEU, and TIAN Hua, CEO of PrimeBOT, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. GENG Jing, Assistant to the President of HEU, presided over the event.

LI Rongsheng stated that the university boasts distinctive educational features of SMON, and has profound academic accumulation in fields such as intelligent control and artificial intelligence. PrimeBOT has distinctive strengths in embodied intelligence technology R&D, industrial application scenarios and ecosystem construction. He expressed the hope that both sides would join hands and complement each other’s advantages, translating the university’s research strengths and the enterprise’s industrial strengths into real productive forces, and boosting the high-quality development of the embodied intelligence industry.
TIAN Hua stated that PrimeBOT is committed to promoting the integration of embodied intelligence into diverse life scenarios, and is at the forefront of the country in embodied intelligence technology R&D, industrial scenarios and ecosystem construction. With a solid foundation for cooperation with HEU, PrimeBOT expects to take the co-construction of the platform as a new starting point, strengthen in-depth industry-university-research collaboration, bring real industrial scenarios and front-line practical projects of the enterprise into classrooms, and focus on building the platform into a demonstration hub for industry-education integration, an important carrier for collaborative innovation, and a key base for training outstanding engineers.

GENG Jing and TIAN Hua signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Co-building the Embodied Intelligence Industry-Education Integration Innovation Practice Platform on behalf of both parties.
The relevant person in charge of the College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering reported on the development of HEU’s embodied intelligence programme. LUO Jing, Ecology Director of PrimeBOT, introduced the cooperation plan for the platform. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on platform operation mechanisms, talent training, scientific research cooperation, resource sharing, and internship and employment.
The university has thoroughly implemented the “Artificial Intelligence +” initiative. Relying on its leading discipline of Control Science and Engineering, it has deepened technological breakthroughs in the field of embodied intelligence. At the same time, it has developed multiple national first-class undergraduate programmes such as Automation and Robotics Engineering, and built an “Artificial Intelligence + X” interdisciplinary talent training system. The university and PrimeBOT have signed an internship and practice base agreement. The H1 Humanoid Robot jointly developed by both sides won the national runner-up in the home service track at the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games. In the future, both sides will continue to deepen cooperation and explore new models for in-depth industry-university-research integration.
