On July 24, the 21st annual China University Robot Competition (ROBOCON) ended. This year's competition was held online.

Under the guidance of teachers such as, Mo Hongwei from the College of Automation, Xu Lifang from the Industrial Training Center, and students from the College of Automation, Underwater Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, HEU's robotics team worked together to win the fifth place in the competition. The team also won the national first prize of the ROBOCON competition and the best design award of this year's Tongchuang brilliant competition.

The competition is difficult and the rules are complex. Since the announcement of the guidelines in October 2021, the teams preparation covered nine months.

During the intense preparations for the competition, the Youth League Committee, the College of Automation, and the team members all supported each other to overcome difficulties such as rule changes and material shortages caused by the epidemic.

After several program verifications, intense discussions, and complex procedures, such as structural design and wiring parameter adjustments, the team successfully completed the iteration for two generations of robots. In the end, the team achieved a top five finish.
