Schoolof Humanities and Social Sciences formerly known as the Marxist Leninist Teaching and Research Office. Itwas named the Department of Social Sciences in the 1980s and the Department of Social Sciences in the 1990s. School of Humanities and Social Sciences was established in 2001.
The school has 66 teaching staff. There are 14 full-time professors, 24 associate professors, 8 doctoral supervisors and 46 graduate supervisors. The school has 770 students, including 480 undergraduates and 290 postgraduates.
The school has established a good and stable cooperative relationship with well-known universities at home and abroad, such as the University of California Berkeley, and the University of California San Diego. It has hosted and undertaken international and national academic conferences for many times, and the school has invited more than 100 well-known person-time at home and abroad to exchange and deliver lectures for more than 100 people.
