College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering was established in 1953, formerly known as the Hydrographic Survey and Navigation Equipment Teaching and Research Office and the Ship Electrical Equipment Teaching and Research Office.
The Department of Automatic Control was established in 1970, the Institute of Automation was established in 1998, and College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering was established in 2020. The discipline of "Control Science and Engineering" has been among 10% of the national level in the fourth round of discipline evaluation in China.
At present, the college has 187 full-time teachers, including 50 professors and 65 associate professors. In the past five years, the college has undertaken more than 900 projects, including national key research and development plans, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and international cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology, with a total of more than 1.7 billion yuan in scientific research funds. The college has won 2 second place awards of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 21 provincial and ministerial scientific research awards.
The college has carried out multi-level talent training and scientific research cooperation with many international top universities in Germany, Britain, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Belgium, among others.
