College of Nuclear Science and Technology

College of Nuclear Science and Technology, formerly known as the Atomic Energy Major and the Nuclear Power Plant Major, began to recruit students in 1958. On December 12, 2005, China's first nuclear science and technology institute was established, and the development idea of "internationalization, openness, research and high level" was established.


The college has 73 full-time teachers, including 51 with middle andsenior professional titles, 21 doctoral supervisors and 51 master's supervisors. Two academicians of the CAE Member, one international academic master and 33 part-time (guest) professors at home and abroad were employed. There are 965 undergraduate students, 336 master students, 156 doctoral students and 142 international students.


The college has reached agreements on cooperation and exchange of students with internationalwell-knownuniversities and institutions in the field of nuclear energy, such as International Atomic Energy Agency, University of Michigan in the United States, University of Tennessee in the United States, IMT Atlantiquein France, Technical University of Munich in Germany, and Polytechnic University of Milanin Italy, which provide students with conditions for overseas academic exchange, study for adegree and international cooperative research.
