New theories, methods and technologies in the field of vibration and noise control

Achievements:

The Institute of Vibration and Noise Control, led by Professor Liu Zhigang, is mainly engaged in the research on vibration and noise control of ship power plants. The team now has 20 teachers(18 master and doctoral supervisors), more than 90 doctoral candidates, and more than 100 master candidates.

The Institute of Vibration and Noise Control is the "national team" of the vibration and noise reduction profession in China's ship power industry. Focusing on the major strategic needs of the country, it provides strong technical support and a steady flow of talents for the technical progress and R&D capability improvement of the national ship power industry. In 2014, it was awarded the honorary of "National Worker Pioneer". In 2019, the party branch was selected as the national model party branch. In 2016, it was rated as "Advanced Collective in Science and Technology Work during the Twelfth Five Year Plan" and "Advanced Collective in Education and Teaching during the Twelfth Five Year Plan" by the school.

The members of the Institute of Vibration and Noise Control include one Changjiang Scholar, one Distinguished Young Scholar Fund of the NSFC, one leading talent of the "Ten Thousand Talents Program", three "Young Talents", one Outstanding Youth Fund of the NSFC, one Young Teacher Fund of Huo Yingdong, and two Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST. In recent years, it has won one first-prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, two second-prize of the National Teaching Achievement Awards, one second-prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and many first-prize and second-prize of the Heilongjiang Science and Technology Progress Awards.
