Dear readers，
Cold winter was driven away by warm spring, in which the breeze blows, grass grows, and the warbler flies. It is a wonderful season for reading books. In order to welcome the arrival of the 28th World Book and Copyright Day, the library plans to carry out a series of activities for the 2023 Book Festival. The purpose is to create a dense reading atmosphere in Harbin Engineering University, promote the formation of campus reading trends, and actively play the leading role of library in reading. It hopes that through these activities, books could touch our minds and reading would accompany our happy growth.
The activities are as follows:
1. Book Fair of “Lost Beads in Book Sea”

2. Lecture on Shanxi Folklore
(1) Time：16:00-17:30, April 14th (Friday)
(2) Location: Academic Lecture Hall on the second floor of the library
(3) Guest Speaker: Lu Zhaoyang, professor, Xidian University
3. “Read Faster, Read Better” Competition
(1) Time: 10:00-15:00, April 16th (Sunday)
(2) Location: Multi-functional hall on the second floor of the library
4. Allwellcom Award Ceremony
(1) Time: April 23th (Sunday)
(2) Location: Academic Lecture Hall on the second floor of the library
5. College Students • Lecture Hall (6th session)
(1) Time: 14:30-16:30, April 26th (Wednesday)
(2) Multi-functional hall on the second floor of the library
6. Chaoxing Cup · Classic Reading Points Competition
(1) Period: From April 10th to 24th
(2) Location: Chaoxing “Xuexitong” Application
7. Micro Reading Theme Collection Activity
(1) Period: April 8th to April 28th
(2) Location: Online mobile library (selected 33 high-quality popular science books)
The awards for the above activities are presented in the Allwellcom Reading Award Program. Readers who actively participate will have the opportunity to receive activity rewards and honorary certificates. See activity notice above for details.
