The 34th International Conference on the Discrete Simulation of Fluid Dynamics (DSFD 2025) will take place in Harbin, China, from July 3 to July 6, 2025. Hosted by Harbin Engineering University (HEU), this marks the first time the conference will be held in Northeast China. Established in 1986 by Dr. Gary D. Doolen, then Director of Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA, DSFD has convened 33 successful sessions, solidifying its reputation as a premier international forum for computational fluid dynamics research. The conference is widely recognized for its contributions to fields such as the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM), dissipative particle dynamics (DPD), and related computational techniques.

DSFD 2025 will highlight advancements in computational mechanics, focusing on methodologies including LBM, DPD, smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH), molecular dynamics (MD), and multi-particle collision dynamics (MPCD). The conference will facilitate discussions on mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, and high-performance computing of discrete fluid algorithms. Additionally, it will examine their applications in interfacial phenomena, free-surface flows, micro- and nanoscale fluid dynamics, compressible flows, heat and mass transfer, magnetohydrodynamics, porous media flows, fluid-structure interactions, and other related areas.

Bringing together experts from diverse disciplines—including computer science, physics, mathematics, and chemistry—DSFD 2025 aims to foster international academic exchange, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote cutting-edge research.
