Recently, it was officially announced at the closing ceremony of the premier international conference ACM UbiComp 2025 in Finland that ACM UbiComp 2026 will be held in China. Harbin Engineering University (HEU) will co-host the event alongside Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Peking University, marking the first time our university undertakes such a role. Professor YU Zhiwen from the School of Computer Science at HEU will serve as the General Chair of the conference.


The ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp) is a top-tier international academic conference in the field of ubiquitous computing. Recognized as a CCF (China Computer Federation) recommended A-class conference and organized by ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), it has been successfully held for 27 sessions. The conference focuses on cutting-edge areas such as the Internet of Things, mobile computing, human-computer interaction, wearable devices, intelligent sensing, crowd intelligence computing, and edge computing, serving as a vital platform for global scholars in ubiquitous computing. Hosting UbiComp 2026 will provide HEU with a significant opportunity to engage with international frontiers in its areas of strength, including crowd intelligence computing, the Internet of Things, and intelligent shipping and marine information technology.
