Control Science and Engineering of Harbin Engineering University was awarded "International Excellent".

From November 17 to November 23, the first International Evaluation on Control Science and Engineering program of HEU took place. An international evaluation team consisting of 11 top international experts and scholars in this field will measure the development quality of this subject according to international standards, comprehensively analyze the discipline development from an international perspective, help guide the future development direction of the discipline of control science and engineering. The team will then make an evaluation of international excellent.

On November 23, a meeting to discuss feedback for the International Evaluation on Control Science and Engineering program was held in the VIP conference room of the Qihang Center through online and offline.

Professor Jonathan Chambers of the University of Leicester, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, led the evaluation team. Members of the evaluation panel including Prof. Tang Lixin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Vice President of Northeastern University; Prof. Witold Pedrycz, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Royal Society of Canada and University of Alberta, Canada; Prof. Ramesh Agarwal of Washington University in St Louis, fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, IEEE Fellow and other leading experts and scholars in the field of control, gave feedback on the international evaluation of control science and engineering of HEU.

This international evaluation, with the goal of building a world-class discipline, based on data, found a gap with similar international disciplines, and defined the discipline positioning. Through the diagnostic evaluation of the discipline, problems and bottlenecks were found, the advantages and development direction of the discipline were pointed out, and the next development goals and paths of the discipline were clarified, which is conducive to promoting the development and enhancing the international visibility and influence of the school and the discipline.
